manaslu expedtion, strenuous climb mountain, expedition to mt. manaslu, expedition in manaslu, expedition to manslu, manaslu climbing trip 4th most dangerous 8000m peak, behind Annapurna, Nanga Parbat, and K2..

Manaslu is one of the best known Mountains for Expedition in Nepal, it is also known as Kutang and it is the eighth highest mountain in the world. It is located forty miles east of Annapurna and dominates the Gurkha massif. The mountain's long ridges and valley glaciers offer feasible approaches from all directions, and it culminates in a peak that towers steeply above its surrounding landscape, and is a dominant feature when seen from afar and even more attraction can be seen when you are closed to it. This mountain was previously known as Kutan l. 'tang' being the Tibetan word for flat place, thereby describing the mountain's general summit. The name was later changed to Manaslu, which is derived from the Sanskrit word Manasa and can be roughly translated as Mountain of the Spirit. So it has the sense of giving power to tolerate and people believe when they see it, touch it and have done expedition on it develop the spirit power of tolerating any kind of circumstances. The first ascent of this peak was in 1956 by T. Imanishi and Gyalzen Norbu (Japanese expedition team).

The peak was not climbed again until 1971 when a Japanese team made the second ascent. It was not until 1997 that Charlie Mace made the first American ascent. There are a half dozen established routes on the mountain today, the south face being arguably the toughest in climbing history. As of 2003, the peak has seen only 240 successful ascents and 52 fatalities, making it the 4th most dangerous 8000m peak, behind Annapurna, Nanga Parbat, and K2. To do expedition in the mountains with the more than 8000 m is normally the risky and high adventurous game and expedition on this mountain is also the same.

Mt. Nuptse Expedition

Mt. Nuptse Expedition, Mt Nuptse Expedition (7855m.), Nuptse Expedition, Expedition in Nuptse Mountain, Mt. Nuptse Expedition, Nepal Nuptse Mountain, Mountain climbing trip

Khumbu Himal, a linkage of Mount Everest range, is very famous by its name for expedition sports MT. Nuptse is located in its wings just south-west of Mount Everest. Nuptse I 7855m was first summited by a British expedition on the north-ridge (Scott-route) on May 16, 1961 by Dennis Davis and Sherpa Tashi. Nuptse shares in the glory of the Everest Massif and is viewed from the Thangboche Monastery while on en route trekking to Everest region. It appears as a massive wall guarding the approach to Everest. The name Nup-tse is Tibetan and means west-peak, as it is the western part of the Lhotse-Nuptse-massif. By nature of its land structure, Nepal has become very famous for having expedition activities and we have plenty of Himalayas for becoming so and Nuptse is the most prominent example among them. The main ridge, which is separated from Lhotse by a 7556 m high saddle, is crowned by 7 peaks and goes west-northwest until its steep west-face drops down more than 2300m to the Khumbu-glacier.

As other famous mountains have, Mt. Nuptse has different climbing routes and all of them are challenging and technical for non experienced climbers. The North Face is supporting an expedition to climb a new route on the North Face of Nuptse. This route is an extremely steep ice and rock mixed climb called "The Snake". The steep and rocky south-face of Nuptse is 2500m high and 5 kilometers wide. The north slopes are rising from the Western valley with the upper part of the Khumbu-glacier above its famous icefall. Climbing activity is an exciting thing and climbing to this Mountain is just the synonymous of it.

Api Himal Expedition

API Himal trekking information |API Himal trekking, API trekking, Trek to API Himal | API Trekking map, API trekking cost, API Himal treks, API Himal, Api Himal Expedition, nepal trekking, western nepal expedition
Far western region is not really very famous for international trekkers but it has great potential of this. Api Himal is western Nepal's highest mountain. The area is remote and untouched. Very few tourists have visited the region. This is the country beyond, a wild and extremely beautiful mountain landscape full of exotic people, rapid rivers and pristine forest. This area is a very remote area with Virgin Nature, off beaten path, Mysterious culture and panoramic mountains view of Nandadevi, Rajramba, Api Himal, KappaChuli Peak and many more. There is also a lake called kalidhunga, which is about 2 hrs by walking from base camp.

This is one of the holy lakes of this area. Adventure Zone Trekking and Expedition offers Trekking, hiking, peak climbing and related tourist services and we are giving special focus to remote region. Adventure Zone Trekking & Expedition is probably the only Trekking Company in arranging perfect Expedition and Trekking to API and Saipal region. We came up with the commitment of promoting this area to be known to as many as possible and to give real sense of remoteness and adventurous trip around unexplored region of Nepal for Trekking and expedition.

Deep in the heart of the Himalayas, nestled between the sweltering Indian subcontinent and the frozen plains of the Tibetan plateau, Humla lies hidden in the far northwest corner of Nepal. Shadows of the towering Saipal range and sacred Takh and Changla Himals loom sober this barren forgotten basin of he mighty Karnali River. It is extreme geographical conditions with the elevation fluctuating between 1524 m 7337 m, and an approximate population of 45,000.

The natives still speak an archaic dialect of Tibetan and Nepali languages. Summer in Humla is pleasant while the winer is harsh and cold, leaving the region isolated and mostly snowbound. It is well known fact that Nepal alone has 8 highest peaks out of 14 of the world and Byash Himal range is one of the ranges and API Himal is situated under this region and it has holistic and historical value. Expedition in Nepal is well-known adventurous sport and being so expedition to all regions in Nepal is still not well-known and API and Saipal Expedition are some of the examples of that kind.

The ascent is not technically demanding and unequalled views of Everest, Lhotse and Makalu will more than satisfy your aspirations on this fine Himalayan climb..

We now walk towards the mountain as the trail swings to the east. We gain height gradually until we find ourselves at Dig Kharka (4,650m), close to the foot of the Hinku Nup Glacier. This is a pleasant, grassy camp in an impressive situation.

The trails heads eastward out of Tangnag, along with the lateral moraine of the Dig Glacier. We will pause to climb up the moraine for a view of the pristine Sabai Tso glacial lake. A drop in lake level, caused by a recent rupture of the natural dam the held the lake, is clearly visible. We will arrive at Khare in the early afternoon and have lunch. From Khare, the beautiful north face of Mera Peak is in plain view and Mera glacier spills steeply down into the valley.
Day 10.

This is an acclimatization day as you can prepare yourself for the Mera Peak climb.
Day 11.

You will traverse a long flat on top of the glacier as you make your way to the pass, called Mera La (5,400m, 17,710ft). From here, the views are stunning. Crevasse fields gently stretch out in front of the pass and you are literally enclosed by a ring of jagged peaks and blue-green glaciers. The remaining route up to the summit of Mera Peak is clearly visible.
Day 12.
Trek from Mera La (Pass) to Mera Peak High Camp.
This day you trek gradual ascent path all the way. This area is quite covered by ice glacier. The views make you speechless as you can enjoy the Everest, Makalu, Baruntse, Kusum Kanguru and many other mountains and peaks in panorama. Moreover you feel chill by the magnificent views of Mera Glacier.
Day 13.
Climb High Camp (5780m).
Today, we make the climb to the high camp. This is located at about 5,800 metres on the Northern slopes of the upper mountain. It provides an excellent launch pad for the final climb to the summit. There is no need to make an early start but we must get our equipment ready so that the Sherpas can help with carrying this and the camp stores to the high camp. Having gained the Mera La, the route turns left (south) and follows easy angled snow slopes. After a short distance an area of crevasses is reached. Under normal conditions these can be walked around very easily, although looking into their deep, dark depths is always impressive. The crevasses soon give way to slightly steeper but open snow slopes that lead without difficulty to the high camp. This camp is in an excellent setting with wonderful views of Everest, Makalu and the Nuptse, Lhotse wall directly ahead. The setting sun casts an unbelievably magic light on these awesome mountains.
Day 14.
Climb Mera Peak and return to Khare and you camp at Khare.
The climb to the summit of Mera starts gradually and much will depend on snow and general weather conditions. The central summit will soon appear above the head of a wide glacier flanked by two ridges. We climb the centre of this over open snowfields and avoiding crevasses. The route then swings south-east, skirting below and to the east of the left-hand ridge before turning back rightwards towards the main summit ridge of Mera. Mera actually has three summits; the highest is our objective. We reach this by following a classic snow-ridge to just below the final wall that guards the top. This short steep snow slope is easily climbed but there is a big effort required to climb this last 50 metres. Your reward, however, is a feeling of ecstatic jubilation as you survey the magnificent panorama from the top. After taking pictures and enjoying the view, we descend by the same route back to our campsite below the Mera La.
Day 15.
Trek from Khare to Kothe (7 to 8 hours).
This day you walk along the gradual descent path passing through Tangnang. This is a small village and you find yak settlement here.To reach Kothe you follow the same kind of path. On the way you pass forests covered with fir, rhododendron and local vegetation.
Day 16.
Trek from Kothe to Zatrabok(5 to 6 hours).
The trail goes steep up all the way to Zatrabok. On the way you pass forests and green hills.
Day 17.
Trek from Zatrabok to Chutanga (4 to 5 hours).
Till Zatrawala Pass the trail is ascent and then you trek descent path to reach Chutanga. En route, you walk through rocky path.

Amadblam Expedition -Nepal

Ama Dablam is one of the most stunning peaks in the Himalaya. Situated in the heart of Khumbu region, it lies next to well-worn path to the Everest Base Camp and is admired by thousands of trekkers and climbers every year. This expedition offers a superb climbing experience in a magnificent setting, with numerous cultural and scenic diversions.

This mountain's impressive beauty has made it a highly coveted prize for climbers. Since its first ascent in 1961 by an Anglo-American-New Zealand team, it has been climbed frequently and by many different routes.

Our route will be by the original South West Ridge. This gives a superb climb, sustained at a reasonable level of difficulty and with good camp platforms at strategic points along the route. Apart from one short section it is objectively very safe.

Day 02 : KATHMANDU
At leisure in Kathmandu. While the guides sort out the expedition paper work, you will be able to explore this fascinating medieval city, crowded bazaars, Hindu and Buddhist temples, shrines. It is a wonderful mixture of an ancient, colonial and modern architecture.

Day 03 : KATHMANDU
Free day in Kathmandu.. This day in Kathmandu is an opportunity to hire any pieces of mountaineering equipment you do not already have.

Day 04 : FLIGHT TO LUKLA 2800m & TREK TO PHAKDING
The 40 minutes flight from Kathmandu to Lukla is one of the most spectacular flights in the world. The sixteen seated TWIN OTTER, takes us towards East into the heart of the Sherpa country, giving us breathtaking views of the mountain peaks of the Khumbu region, including Mt. Everest and the alluring Ama Dablam. The aircraft landing on this tiny air-strip at Lukla to put in simple words is - it is going to be madly exciting - getting chills up your spine!
No-sooner after the landing, we will be setting off along the famous trail walking towards North-west and descending to the river side at Phakding 2,652m. Continuing further through attractive fir forests to Chumda and set up our camps for the night (walking approximately 5 hours).

Day 05 : TREK TO NAMCHE BAZAAR.
After early breakfast, we begin climbing up the steep hill towards Namche Bazaar. If the sky is clear we can see the glorious Mt. Everest the tallest mountain of the world and next the Lhotse. We will reach to Namche after approximately six hours. It's a prosperous and largest town in the Khumbu region populated by the Sherpas who all resembles with the Tibetan people in looks and cultures also the same. The town is vibrant with many well stocked shops, typical restaurants and hotels, as a whole it all looks marvelous with the breathtaking close views of the snow-capped mountains all around. Some of us may likely face little problem in breathing as Namche is 3,445 meters above the sea level., therefore, we will spend two nights here for acclimatization.

Day 06 : REST DAY in Namche Bazaar.

Day 07 : TREK TO THYANGBOCHE 3,863m.
No sooner it is morning we have the fantastic views of Mt. Ama Dablam and other mountain ranges all around us. We continue trekking heading North-East along the side of Dudh Koshi river. The trail descends going through moss and rhododendron forests to the river bank leading further along the river side to Phungithanga. After crossing the river Dudh Koshi over a bridge at this point, the trail lead climbing up a hill to the saddle top to Thyangboche. Thyangboche is the main important monastery in Khumbu region. Old (the first original one) Thyangboche monastery was destroyed by accidental fire in the year 1989. The main village is situated at the base of Mt. Kangtaiga and from the spur of this ridge top we can have the excellent panoramic views of the main mountain peaks including - Mt. Everest, Lhotse and the Ama Dablam. We settle down for the night camping near by the monastery. (walking involves 6 hours).

Day 08 : TREK TO BASE CAMP.
Trekking for about 2-3 hours up the valley heading towards the Everest Base Camp, our trail lead turning right then climbing up further to next valley and to our Base Camp at an elevation of 4,570 meters. We camp along the excellent spot from where majority of the climbing routes are visible. The atmosphere naturally will be pleasant; in cool serenity. The porters will be busy then, with loads for next couple of week time. Remaining staff at the Base Camp include - a Cook, Sirdar, other staff, and the Liaison Officer.

Days 09-24 : ASCENT OF MT. AMA DABLAM.
We have to understand and be flexible with the time, as it would not be possible to stick to our day to day itinerary exactly during ascent period, due to unpredictable weather conditions in the mountains. As a whole the group will be working out on the mountains. The MAIN TEAM will SPLIT into groups - the climbing group and task group. The groups - while group 'A' is studying the route and fixing ropes the other group 'B' will be carrying necessary loads to higher camps. The route description is as such, of the expedition team (led by Ray Delaney) that have scaled Mt. Ama Dablam during the year 1990…

From the Base Camp --- Route leads through grassy ridges heading eastward to a broad saddle. From this point we can see the Mingbo La (high pass). We now head to North direction climbing up the rocky grounds then across the boulders to a ridge, a site for Camp I at an elevation of 5,705 meters. Here, there are 5-6 natural platforms suitable for pitching up tents.

From Camp I --- Cross a rocky bowl (tricky if snow covered) until, below two rock fingers, then move on to the ridge proper. Climbing the ridge involves rock climbing of severe standard with steps of VS (USA 5.6) Camp II is at the top of a yellow tower, which gives one of the hardest pitches on the climb at VS/Hard VS (5.8).
From Camp II --- Skirt a red rock bluff on the East and follow a ramp line to a gray tower. Move into the ramp (some stone fall danger) and climb to an amphitheater. Continue up a broad gully formed between the gray tower and the lower rock buttress and climb a snow slope to 'Santa's Grotto' at the start of the mushroom ridge. Follow the mushroom ridge to a crevasse in the upper face, which offers fantastic site. Climb the snow / ice slope to the right of the face, then follow mixed ground to the top of the highest hanging glacier. An ice crest now leads in a magnificent position to the summit. We have the glorious - grand views!
